Thiourea serves as a key raw material for dyes, dyeing auxiliaries, resins and plasticizers. It also acts as a rubber vulcanization accelerator, metal mineral flotation agent, catalyst for phthalic anhydride and fumaric acid synthesis, as well as a metal corrosion inhibitor. Additionally, it finds applications in photographic materials as a developer and toner, in the electroplating industry, and is widely used in diazo sensitive paper, synthetic resin coatings, anion exchange resins, crop germination accelerators and fungicides.
