Melamine Cyanurate is a halogen-free flame retardant, which meets the requirements of environmental protection and is especially suitable for nylon 6 and nylon 66. It can achieve UL 94 V-0 for polyamide. Addition of Melamine Cyanurate gives PA6/PA66 good mechanical and electrical properties. Being halogen free also results in significant advantages in terms of fire safety, i.e. lower smoke density, lower smoke-toxicity and less corrosion.
