Aluminum Hydroxide, also referred to as alumina trihydrate, is the most widely applied halogen-free flame retardant and smoke suppressant worldwide. It decomposes endothermically at 180~220°C, releasing water vapor to cool materials, dilute flammable gases and form a protective char layer, thereby efficiently inhibiting flame propagation in polymers, cables and coatings. With superior smoke suppression and flame-retardant properties, ATH is widely used in PVC cables, rubber products and carpet backing materials.
